High Ties

For autumn/winter 2022, we’re embracing the necktie. Here’s why you should too.

First it was Bella Hadid, who stepped out in a new wave suit-like look consisting of a smartly tailored workwear shirt, unapologetic pleated knee-length shorts, a crisp white shirt and crimson tie.

Then Squid Games star HoYeon Jung opened the Vuitton show in a pastel-silk-floral version, looking undeniably cool worn with loosely tailored trousers and oversized outerwear.

Cut to Imaan Hammam who took the look to new heights with a shoulder-padded white button up and heels. This Fall, ties are everywhere—and of course we’re here for it. But rather than playing up the accessory’s éclat as being all business, take our freer approach: the tie is meant to be worn anyway but uptight.
